SEMSA was formerly known as the Scottish Asian Sports Association (SASA) and has moved to be a more strategic and inclusive organisation in removing barriers for BME Communities to participate in sport and physical activity. The movement to SEMSA has been as a result of the need to ensure we as a BME organisation are inclusive of Scotland's new and indigenous communities and to work towards creating, at an operational and strategic level, an equal playing field for all communities.
